Mrs Fardell leaves us ..... sob sob!

Our current playground squad is Year 6 students, but some Year 5's do help us out!  Our aim is to make our playground a safe and enjoyable place to be.  We sort out arguments and problems that occur between the younger students, and try to encourage them to see the benefits of friendship.

Some Year 1 and 2 children can come and use the Drawing Room and try their artistic skills. We miss being able to use our school field during the winter - we are only allowed on there if it snows!

The sad news this week is that Mrs Fardell, a favourite Midday Assistant has left us after 18 long years!  We will miss her on our 5-a-side pitch, where she was a fair referee on our football games each day. Lots of pupils were very upset at her special leaving assembly yesterday.

What we do in the playground!

Our playground is a fun place to be. At lunchtime we play outside with the equipment e.g. hoppers, kickball, cricket, tennis and much more. We also have a fantastic astro turf football pitch which is always very busy.Your child won’t get pushed since only ten people are allowed on the pitch. Five people on a team.
We always have an adult supervising us and they keep an eye on every one of the children and when they have fallen down or hurt themselves we will take them to welfare where they are also cared for.

We have two sheds full of equipment.
In the playground on Wednesday morning at 8:10am to 9:00 is cricket with Carl.

Clubs are always on like football so keep an eye on letters.
